Aijian Huang

Hello, I’m Aijian Huang. I come from Chengdu city, Sichuan province, China. And I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Chong Liu lab, starting in January 2024. I obtained my B.S. degree at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2018 with majored in Electronic Information Science and Technology. Subsequently, I got my Ph.D. degree with majored in physics at UESTC (Supervisor: Prof. Zhiguo Wang) & Tsinghua University (Visiting Scholar in the joint program, Supervisor: Prof. Chen Chen) in 2023. My previous research interests encompass physical/chemical analysis of electronic structure, thermodynamics, catalytic mechanism, and structure-activity relationship concerning advanced functional nano-catalyst electrode materials utilizing density functional theory (DFT) calculation. During my time here at UCLA, I aim to integrate the analysis of electrochemistry interfaces, automated experimentation, and machine learning to address the challenges in energy, catalysis, and environments. In my leisure time, I enjoy cooking, singing, playing computer games, and engaging in sports activities. I am looking forward to having a wonderful experience here and creating cherished memories.
